Musie Earns Ivy League Honors

Shares Player Of Week; Named Rookie Of Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Henos Musie made his first career goal quite memorable. It came off a free kick with 40 seconds left in the second half and lifted Yale to a thrilling 2-1 victory over Harvard on Saturday. Today, Musie picked up his first Ivy League honor. He shared Player of Week honors with Princeton's Cameron Porter and was named the Rookie of the Week.

The winning play came after Harvard was whistled for a foul about 25 yards from goal. Musie took his time setting up the kick and then drilled a shot that deflected off Harvard's defensive wall and just inside the post, setting off a wild celebration on the Yale bench and in the stands at a packed Reese Stadium.

Musie, a sophomore, is in his first season with the Bulldogs after transferring from Chalmers University in Sweden.

In addition, Conner Lachenbruch was named to the Honor Roll. Lachenbruch's goal at 87:45 tied the score at 1-1.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday night when they play at Albany.
