NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's soccer team makes its shortest road trip of the season on Tuesday, traveling to Hamden to meet unbeaten Quinnipiac. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. at Bobcat Field. Fans can follow the action through Live Stats at quinnipiacbobcats.com.
Both teams played scoreless ties in their last game. Yale (2-2-1) tied Sacred Heart on Saturday night, while Quinnipiac (3-0-2) played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer with Siena.
Yale's Jon Carlos was named to the Ivy League Honor Roll on Monday. Carlos scored twice in the Bulldogs' 4-1 victory over Stony Brook last Wednesday.
The Bobcats were picked to finish fourth in the Northeast Conference preseason poll. Graciano Brito, last year's NEC Player of the Year, is on the 2008 Hermann Trophy Watch List. He shares the team lead in goals with four.
"Quinnipiac is off to a great start to the season and we know their confidence will be high," said Yale head coach Brian Tompkins. "Our games with them are always close and we expect this one to be no different."
Yale and Quinnipiac are playing for the first time since 2003, a 4-3 Bulldog victory.
