Yale Tops Dartmouth, Focuses on Rochester
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's squash team defeated the Dartmouth Big Green 8-1 Saturday afternoon at the Brady Squash Center.
Yale (4-0, 2-0 Ivy) remained unbeaten on the season, while Dartmouth (3-2, 0-2 Ivy) was unable to pick up its first conference victory. Yale swept the No. 1, No. 3 through 5, and No. 7 through 9 positions en route to a decisive victory. The Big Green's lone win came at the No. 2 position, where Christopher Hanson defeated senior Todd Ruth in five hard-fought games. Junior Naishadh Lalwani earned the victory at the No. 7 position in his first match action of the season.
The Bulldogs will now turn their attention to their road match against the University of Rochester Sunday at noon. The Yellowjackets of Rochester are ranked second nationally by the College Squash Association and should present a challenge for a Yale team coming in at the top of its game.
