Bulldogs Blank Penn, Bates
New Haven, Conn. - The Yale men's squash team opened the season in style, shutting out both Penn and Bates 9-0 Saturday at the Brady Squash Center.
Yale lost only two games in a convincing 9-0 win over Penn. Led by sophomore Hywel Robinson in the top spot, Yale rolled over Penn in more then convincing fashion. The men played focused and clinical squash in dominating their match against Penn. Senior captain Naishadh Lalwani won in the two spot with fellow senior John Fulham winning in the 5 spot. Both won their matches 3-1. Freshman Charlie Wyatt won 3-0 at nine with sophomores Richard Dodd and Kenneth Chan winning 3-0 in the three and four positions. Juniors Ryan Dowd, John Roberts, and Robbie Berner all won 3-0 in the 6,7, and 8 positions.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Jan. 7 with matches at both Williams and Amherst.
