NEW HAVEN, Conn. -  The No. 2 Yale Bulldogs will kick off their regular season this Saturday with two away matches, in their first matches since Thanksgiving break. First, the team will travel to Lancaster, Pa. to take on the No. 8 Franklin and Marshall Big Green on Saturday morning, with the matches beginning at 10a.m. In the afternoon, the Bulldogs play the Haverford Fords, with matches beginning at 4p.m. Last season, the Bulldogs bested Franklin and Marshall 8-1 when the teams met at the Brady Squash Center, but did not contest Haverford.

Before Thanksgiving, the Bulldogs hosted the Ivy League Scrimmage, and took second place. Yale defeated No. 20 Columbia and No. 6 Cornell on Saturday, both by 8-1 scores to advance to the finals. In the final round, the Crimson edged Yale out for the win by a 5-4 score. Yale has not lost a regular season Ivy League match since January 31, 2009.

Franklin and Marshall has been off to a tough start so far this season, with losses against No. 3 Princeton and No. 7 Dartmouth. Haverford fell to No. 17 George Washington University and No. 28 Johns Hopkins on Nov. 20, which moved them to a 1-7 record for the season.
