Playing in the No. 4 slot, junior Neil Martin battled through four games but eventually delivered a point for the away team.
Senior Kenneth Chan had the hardest matchup of the day, squaring off at the No. 1 position against the second-ranked player in the nation, sophomore Ramit Tandon. Chan, who ranked No. 16 at the end of last season, lost 3-0.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday Jan. 19 with a home match against No. 5 Rochester.
