Bulldogs Recover from Loss to Trinity
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Saturday the No. 4 Yale men's squash team preserved its perfect record at home with a 9-0 win over No. 15 Navy. The Bulldogs conceded only three games in their nine matches, six of which were won 3-0. Yale seniors Kenneth Chan, captain Hywel Robinson and Richard Dodd played Nos. 1, 2 and 3, respectively.
The match was an important win for the Bulldogs, who took their first loss of the season Wednesday, falling to No. 2 Trinity 7-2. Referring to the match today, head coach David Talbott described his team's play as "aggressive and focused against an always competitive and tough Navy team."
With matches still remaining against No. 1 Princeton and No. 3 Harvard, Yale still has the opportunity to shake up the squash rankings before the CSA Team Championships, which will be held Feb. 22-24 in New Haven, Conn.
The Bulldogs will return to Ivy League competition next weekend, hosting No. 1 Princeton on Saturday and No. 12 Penn on Sunday.
