Bulldogs Face Fordham and Rider

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After more than a week off from competition, the Yale men's swimming and diving team is back in the pool this Saturday, Jan. 26th. The Bulldogs will face off against Fordham and Rider at the Rutgers University Aquatic Center in Piscataway, N.J.

The Bulldogs narrowly defeated Penn and Dartmouth in their last outing on Jan. 12th. The two victories improved the Elis record to 5-0 on the season. Yale has also defeated Columbia, Massachusetts and Cornell this season. In addition to the perfect dual-meet record, Yale finished in first-place at the Bucknell Invitational. One of Saturday's opponents, Fordham, competed at the Bucknell Invitational and finished in seventh place.

The Bulldogs have benefitted this season from the improvement of a strong sophomore contingency and added depth, thanks to a talented freshmen class and team veterans.

Yale holds a 10-0 all-time record against Fordham and a 6-0 all-time record against Rider. The Bulldogs have not competed against Rider in a dual meet since 1942. Yale last defeated Fordham head-to-head in 2002.

The events begin at 10:30 a.m. EST this Saturday.
