NEW HAVEN, Conn.-The Yale men's swimming and diving team returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 7, when it will face Boston University in its final meet of 2013.
The Elis last raced at the Bucknell Invitational from Nov. 22-24. They fended off the Bucknell Bison and seven other teams to win the meet for the second consecutive year.
The Boston University Terriers took second place at an invitational that they hosted two weeks ago. Senior captain Ed Becker said that their strong performance at the meet suggests that Saturday's showdown will be close.
"We're preparing for a meet that we believe could easily come down to the last relay," Becker said.
"Regardless, it'll be a great opportunity to get one last look at where we are as a team going into the most training-intensive part of the season. The goal is always to improve on last week, so we'll look to do that at BU."
The Bulldogs last travelled to BU for the 2011 Terrier Invitational. They won the meet, and finished 88 points ahead of the Terriers with a final score of 800.
Saturday's meet will start at 1:30 p.m. at the Boston University Aquatics Center.
