Chris Dufek is a versatile swimmer with strengths in backstroke, freestyle and individual medley. Chris lettered all four of his years at Landon School and was captain in his senior year. Chris was a three-year winner of his high school MVP award and was the All-Metros 100 freestyle and 200 individual medley champion in his senior year. His performance in the 200 individual medley earned him All-American distinction and he graduated holding seven records, three on relays, and four in individual events. Swimming for the Curl-Burke swim team, Chris is the Eastern Zone record holder in the 200 Individual Medley and placed second at Junior Nationals in that event. He also placed third in the 100 backstroke at that meet. Chris' most memorable pre-Yale swimming experience comes from his summer league background when he broke the county 200 medley relay record. Chris decided on Yale because of the "great team cohesiveness and the great university."
