Swimming for Spirit Swimming since the age of 4, Craig qualified for the US Open qualifier and placed 6th in the 200 Breast at Summer Junior Nationals consecutively in 2005 and 2006. He also placed 2nd in the 200 Breast at Spring Sectionals in Cambridge in 2006 and has placed within the top 8 for the 200 Breast at every Sectionals since the Summer of 2003. Craig only swam for Council Rock High School South for one year, when he placed second in the 100 Breast and 7th in the 200 IM at the 2006 PIAA States, as well as setting many team and pool records along the way. He was also named the Courier Times Boy Swimmer of the Year for his performance at States.
In high school, Craig was a member of the National and French Honor Societies and he won the Army Student Athlete award in his senior year. He also has been playing the piano for 11 years, and has taught himself how to play the guitar for the last 6 years.
Craig's proudest athletic moments include setting the new Council Rock High School North pool record in his final high school dual meet against Council Rock North, winning the silver at States, and placing at Junior Nationals two years in a row. He chose Yale because of its unique residential college system, its commitment to education, and the overall unity of the Yale Swim Team.
