The Yale men's swimming and diving team moved up in the standings at the ECAC Championships, finishing the second day of competition in 10th place out of 20 schools. The Bulldogs were in 11th place after day one of the meet, which is being held at the University of Pittsburgh. The Bulldogs have one more chance to improve on their standings in today's final day of competition.
Colin Stalnecker was Yale's top finisher on Saturday, taking fourth in the 100 Breaststroke. John Lynch was another top ten finisher for Yale, placing 7th in the 400 Individual Medley. Jack Hutchinson finished right behind Lynch, taking 8th in the same event. Chris Dufek took 9th in the 100 Backstroke.
Yale also had strong performances from the two relays that were held on Saturday. Yale's 800 Freestyle relay team of Hutchinson, Reid Madden, Gjorgji Gjeorgjievski, and Lynch finished seventh in that event, as did Yale's 200 Medley relay of Stalnecker, Hugh Sullivan, Cameron Hendrick and Alex Goldsmith.
Competition at the ECACs concludes this afternoon.
