Bulldogs in Seventh After Two Days at ECAC Championships

Pittsburgh, PA - The Bulldogs are in seventh place with 192 points after two days at the ECAC Championships in Pittsburgh, PA.

Freshman Lugar Choi took fourth place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:42.13. His performance earned Yale 15 points.

In the 200-yard medley relay, the Yale team took seventh place. Freshman Jason Choi, freshman Sam Goldsmith, senior Alex Goldsmith, and sophomore Jonathan Taylor combined for a time of 1:34.82 to earn the Bulldogs 24 points.

Senior Connor Murphy took 13th place with a time of 52.04 to earn the Bulldogs 4 points in the 100-yard butterfly. In the 100-yard breaststroke, freshman Zak Murez took 13th place with a time of 59.30 to also earn Yale 4 points.

In the 100-yard backstroke, sophomore Colin McCarthy earned Yale 15 points with a fourth place finish in a time of 51.54. Freshman Alex Gornitzky finished in 10th place in the race in 52.50.

Yale concluded the day with a fifth place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay in 6:59.30 to earn the Bulldogs an additional 28 points.

The Bulldogs will conclude competition at the ECACs Sunday.
