Jordan skipped the fall season of his freshman year due to back surgery. In the spring he saw some playing time filling in for injured teammates. He teamed with Matt Schimmel to win the critical doubles match against Princeton in which Yale went on to win the match 4-3. Academically, Jordan received the ITA Scholar-Athlete Award. Jordan was ranked as high as 35 nationally in the 16 & Unders in 2006. That year he reached the finals of the Midwest Open. Jordan helped guide his Harvard-Westlake High School team to a conference championship. Jordan was a straight "A" student, a member of the Spanish Honor Society, and plays in a rock band called "Carlotta".
