Yale Ranked No. 71 to Start Season
The Bulldogs will start the season and the New Year ranked No. 71 in the ITA Division I Men’s National Team Rankings.
Yale returns seven players from a team that posted a 14-8 overall record last season and finished the year ranked No. 70. The Bulldogs add a stellar freshmen class to a squad that will look to improve upon its 4-3 Ivy League record and chase the Ivy League Title this season.
“It is nice to start the season off in the national rankings,” said Alex Dorato, the Cary Leeds Head Coach of Men’s Tennis. “We will use this as a benchmark to try and improve upon. This ranking will definitely serve as motivation to work harder. I think we are capable of doing better than our pre-season ranking, and I know my players will not be happy until we do.”
Yale will have a tough road ahead this season that includes matches against No. 56 Radford, No. 61 Furman, No. 50 Columbia, and No. 63 Harvard.
