NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After two straight weekends of tournament play, five members of the Yale men's tennis team will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the ITA Men's All-American Championships.  The nine-day tournament will host over 300 of the top players in the nation, with the singles quarterfinalists, doubles finalists and consolation champions receiving automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships Nov. 3-6 in Flushing, N.Y.

The pre-qualifying rounds will begin on Saturday, October 1. The top 16 finishers in the singles draw and top 8 doubles teams will advance to the main draw. Junior John Huang, the sole Bulldog in the draw, will play Sebastian Gomez from Texas Arlington at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Tournament information can be found here.

Once the pre-qualifying rounds have concluded, the main draw will begin on Thursday, October 6. Juniors Marc Powers and Daniel Hoffman are two of the 112 players who have already received spots in the main draw. Powers and Hoffman will also team up in the main draw of the doubles tournament, alongside senior captain Erik Blumenkranz and classmate Joel Samaha. Draws are not available at this time.

Last season, none of the Bulldogs were able to advance to the second round of tournament play. Huang, who was the only Bulldog to play in the singles draw, lost to Tennessee's Matteo Fago in straight sets. In doubles, Blumenkranz and Samaha fell to the then No. 7 ranked doubles team in the nation, Tennessee's John-Patrick Smith and Rhyne Williams.
