The Yale men's tennis team shined during the first day of competition at Dartmouth, with several Yale players advancing in their respective draws. Play will continue Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m., with results being posted throughout the day.
First year Michael Sun earned the Bulldogs the first win of the day, downing one of Brown's top singles players 6-3, 6-1. Sun continues to impress and has really showcased his competitiveness this fall, particularly against fellow Ivy League players. Junior Dylan King found tough opposition early on in Boston University's Max Hartenstein, but remained confident and ultimately prevailed 6-4, 6-1. Although falling in a tightly contested three-set match to Brown, first year Arnav Dhingra not only demonstrated his on-court prowess but also his leadership qualities that will serve him and his teammates well come the spring season.
First year phenoms Sun and Dhingra triumphed over a strong Boston University duo, further affirming the young talent this Eli squad has to offer. King and Cody Lin fought hard as well but eventually fell to a skilled team from Buffalo to conclude the day for the Bulldogs.
