The Yale men's tennis team rounded off the second day of competition at the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, with several Elis scoring victories over strong opponents. Play continues Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. with results being posted throughout the day.
Junior Dylan King and sophomore Cody Lin kickstarted the day for the Bulldogs with two back-to-back doubles wins against Harvard and Brown. Friday and Saturday mark the first time King and Lin have teamed up this year, and their early success is a strong indicator of the versatility of this Bulldog squad. First years Michael Sun and Arnav Dhingra faced challenging competition in each of their two doubles matches, falling 8-5 in each.
Sun broke out of the gates early on in singles play, however, defeating Dartmouth's John Speicher 6-0, 6-3. Sun will compete in the finals of his respective draw on Sunday morning, looking to further establish himself as a valuable weapon for the Bulldogs. He will fight alongside several other Elis in the final day of play, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Dartmouth.
The full results from Saturday's matches are posted below, along with Sunday's match schedule. Sunday's scores will be updated periodically at the bottom of this page.
