NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Yale men's tennis won its second match in two days today, beating Army 6-1 at home. The Bulldogs swept the doubles matches and dropped only one match in singles to improve their season record to 2-2.

The Black Knights didn't make it easy for Yale in the three doubles matches. At No. 1, Rowan Reynolds and Rory Green downed Carl Fisher and Phil Muhawl 9-7, and at No. 3, Chris Lawler and Jeff Dawson beat John Houghton and Kevin Harris in a close match by the same 9-7 score. At No. 2, Brandon Wai and Josh Lederman battled through a tough match to defeat Mike Good and Eddie Kang, 8-6.

In singles, John Houghton retired early in the second set, giving Brandon Wai an easy 6-1, 1-0 win in the No. 1 slot. Four other Bulldogs won in straight sets, and at No. 2, Michael Caldwell fought hard but was unable to defeat Fisher, losing the close match, 7-6, 6-4.

The Bulldogs will return to action in two weeks, when they take on Navy on Sat., Feb. 25 at 12 p.m. and the University of Maryland on Sun., Feb. 26 at 12 p.m.
