No. 58 Pacific Tops Yale 4-3

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - No. 58 Pacific snapped Yale's four match winning streak by defeating the Bulldogs 4-3 Tuesday in San Diego, Calif. The Bulldogs dropped to 9-4 for the season with the loss.

Playing singles without two regular starters, the Bulldogs still managed to win three singles matches. Senior Jeff Dawson and sophomore Calvin Bennett both did not play singles due to injury.

At No. 2 singles, junior Connor Dawson battled to a 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 win over Artem Gramma. Freshman Joel Samaha rolled to a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Renan Delsin at No. 3 singles. Playing No. 6 singles, senior Josh Lederman stepped up due to the injuries to the two regular singles players and won his match 6-3, 1-0.

Yale also won one doubles match. At No. 3 doubles, freshman Erik Blumenkranz and Lederman won 8-3 over Erik-Karl Paaro and Christian Kuehne.
