Yale won the No. 2 and 3 doubles matches to clinch the team point. In the No. 2 spot, Rowan Reynolds and Chris Lawler won 8-6 over Joel Kielbowicz and David Campbell. Johnny Lu and Milosz Gudzowski had an 8-3 win over Jonathan Hooper and Martin Redelinghuys to claim the No. 3 match.
With Yale in the lead, UNLV sprung back on the singles court to claim the No. 1, 2 and 5 singles matches. However, Gudzowski rallied at the No. 3 position and beat Romain Masaro 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Reynolds had a strong showing in the No. 4 spot, defeating Hooper in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
The No. 6 singles match was the tie-breaker; Rory Green put forth a strong effort, but was beaten by Redelinghuys 7-6, 4-6, 6-0.
