No. 66 Yale Narrowly Defeated By No. 69 Harvard

The Yale men's tennis team put up a valiant effort against Harvard today, but finally lost the match to the Crimson 4-3. Today's match puts the Bulldogs at 10-8 on the season and 3-2 in the Ancient Eight. Harvard is now 7-11 on the season and is also 3-2 in the Ancient Eight.

Harvard swept the doubles matches.

In singles action, No. 5 seed Rory Green '08 defeated Shantanu Dhaka in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1. Jeff Dawson '09 captured the No. 3 spot, going 7-6, 6-4 against Dan Nguyen. Brandon Wai '07 struggled in the first set, but claimed the No. 1 spot against Ashwin Kumar, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5.

The Bulldogs will face off against Dartmouth at home, in New Haven, on Sunday, Apr. 23, at 2 pm.
