Men's Tennis Defeats Columbia, 4-3, at ECAC Championships

In the back draw of the ECAC Championships, the No. 6 seed Bulldogs defeated No. 7 seed Columbia to tie for fifth place overall.

The Bulldogs defeated No. 11 seed Boston College in the first round before falling to No. 3 seed Penn State in the quarterfinals.

In the match, the Elis won all three doubles matches and took the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 singles matches to edge Columbia 4-3. Andrew Rosenfeld, Ryan Murphy, and Brandon Wai each took their singles games.

The victory tied Yale for fifth place in the 16-team tournament.

The Bulldogs will travel to Ithaca, NY in two weeks for the ITA Regional Championships starting on Friday, Oct. 17.
