Jeff Dawson Advances to Quarterfinals at Wilson/ITA Northeast Regional Championship

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior captain Jeff Dawson advanced to the quarterfinals at the Wilson/ITA Northeast Regional Championship with two victories Sunday.
In the third round, Dawson defeated UMBC's Fredi Voorman 6-4, 6-7, 6-1. Then in the round of 16, Dawson cruised to a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Penn's Adam Schwartz to advance to the quarterfinals.
Dawson will continue play Monday at 9 a.m. with the quarterfinals.
In the singles consolation draw, freshman Erik Blumenkranz advanced to the fourth round with a victory over Dan Urban in the third round. In the fourth round, Blumenkranz dropped his match to Brown's Kendrick Au.
