In the latest national rankings, Yale's Brandon Wai earned the No. 92 position, making him the only Bulldog in the top 100. He is one of four Ivy League players in the group.
Wai, a sophomore from San Diego, has compiled a 24-7 singles record and an 8-12 doubles standing. He won the Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational Tennis Tournament back in September and also won the Yale Invitational the next weekend.
Wai made it to the quarterfinals of the ITA Eastern Reegional Championships in October before losing ot Reed Hagmann in a 7-6 third set.
This calendar year, Wai won the Columbia Classic, and has played at Yale's No. 1 position in singles. He has earned wins over several ranked players, including San Diego State's No. 43 Benedikt Stronk and Boise State's No. 44 Luke Shields.
Yale's next match comes April 2 against Manhattan College.
