All-Ivy Teams Announced

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Four Bulldogs were honored by the Ivy League Thursday with All-Ivy selections. Junior Michael Caldwell (Encinitas, Calif.) earned a Second Team All-Ivy singles selection. Junior Josh Lederman (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) and freshman Calvin Bennett (Sandy, Utah) earned a Second Team All-Ivy doubles selection. Junior Jeff Dawson (St. Charles, Ill.), the newly elected team captain, earned All-Ivy honorable mention.

Caldwell split time between the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots during the season and posted a 3-4 Ivy League record. The highlight of the season for Caldwell came against Harvard's Ashwin Kumar, when Caldwell pulled off the victory at No. 1 singles.

The doubles team of Lederman and Bennett earned Second Team All-Ivy doubles selection after posting a 2-3 Ivy League record at No. 1 doubles.

Like Caldwell, Dawson split time between the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots during the season and posted a 3-4 Ivy League record. Dawson posted perfect 3-0 Ivy League record at No. 1 singles with victories against Princeton, Cornell, and Dartmouth. In addition to coming up with the decisive victory at No. 1 singles against Dartmouth, Dawson handed Ivy League Player of the Year Peter Capkovic of Princeton one of his only two Ivy League losses this season.
