Men's, Women's Tennis Teams Win ITA All-Academic Team Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's and women's tennis teams were named 2008 All-Academic Teams by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Yale men's team is the only Division I men's tennis team to earn this recognition every year since the award's inception in 1996.

For the men's tennis team, Rory Green, Josh Lederman, Tom Santoro, Jordan Abergel, and Ryan Berman were named ITA Scholar Athletes. On the women's tennis team, Janet Kim, Lilian Nguyen, and Jessica Rhee were named ITA Scholar Athletes.

Over the past 11 years combined, the Yale men's tennis team leads all Division I men's tennis teams in total ITA Scholar Athletes.

Dartmouth, Cornell, Columbia, and Princeton joined Yale with both their men and women's tennis teams also earning recognition from the ITA. The Brown women's tennis team was also recognized among Ivy League schools.
