Bulldogs Lead Nation in Academic Achievement

Oct. 2, 2003

The Yale men's tennis program had nine team members earn Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete Awards (2002-2003 G.P.A. of 3.5+). This was the most of any school in the nation. The rest of the Ivy League men's tennis teams combined had a total of 13 (Brown-3, Columbia-1, Cornell-3, Dartmouth-3, and Princeton-3). The Bulldogs were also recipients of the ITA All-Academic Team Award (team G.P.A. 3.2+). Yale is the only Ivy League team to have won this award every year since its inception in 1996. Additionally, Prateek Tandon '03 was the only varsity tennis player in the country to be a Rhodes Scholar recipient.
