Bulldogs Finish Day One at NCAA Regional 

Day 1 Results

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Bulldogs concentrated on making it past the preliminary rounds on the first day of NCAA East Regional Championships, with senior Chris Labosky advancing to the finals of the 800-meter run. The meet, hosted by North Carolina A&T, is one of two regional meets to qualify for the National Championships on June 9-12.

Labosky placed third in his heat in the 800-meter run to qualify for the regional finals on Friday. He clocked in a 1:48.73, the second-fastest time he has ran all season and the fifth fastest time heading into finals. The top three times in each heat and the next three times from Friday's race will qualify for the national meet.

Senior Eric DePalo also competed in the preliminaries of the pole vault and finished 35th overall with a mark of 4.80m.

Friday's competition will also be all about qualifying as senior Alex Harris and junior Matt Bogdan will compete in the preliminaries of the 3,000-meter run and junior Marty Evans in the preliminaries of the 200-meter dash. Freshman Mike Levine will compete in the preliminaries of the discus on Saturday.
