Last Meet of Indoor Season

BOSTON – The Bulldogs ended their indoor season with solid performances on the second day of IC4A Championships. The distance medley relay team scored for the Bulldogs with a sixth-place finish, while senior captain Marty Evans put on another strong race in the 200-meter dash.

Originally seeded ninth in the finals, the distance medley relay team of junior Julian Sheinbaum, sophomore Matthew Bieszard, freshman James Shirvell and senior Matt Bogdan ran 9:54.04 to place sixth, setting No. 10 for all-time Yale indoor. They will also earn All-East honors for their top-eight performance.

After breaking the school's indoor record in the 200-meter dash during Saturday's preliminaries, Evans came back on Sunday to finish 10th in 21.81.

Connecticut was the meet champion with 73.5 points. The Bulldogs tied with Harvard for 45th place with three points.

The Bulldogs will spend spring break in Virginia to train for the outdoor season before competing at the William and Mary Tribe Invitational on Mar. 19.
