4x100-Meter Relay Team Takes Second
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – A small contingent of the Yale men's track and field team competed yesterday at the Northridge Invitational, hosted by the University of California at Northridge. It was the first outdoor meet of the year for the Bulldogs, and they eased into the season by competing in just one event.
The Elis placed second out of five teams in the 4x100-meter relay in a time of 44.06, finishing behind only Cornell (42.64). As that distance is not run indoors, it was the Bulldogs' first look at the event of 2012. In a promising outcome, their time was only 2.4 seconds off of what the team ran at Heps last year (41.66), with the bulk of the season still to come.
Full results from the meet are available here.
