Q: If you could set a World Record in one event, which one would it be?
A: I would like to set a World Record in the 10,000m because it's the longest and perhaps the most difficult of the standard track events. The 10,000m requires exceptional levels of aerobic endurance, as well as finishing speed, and most importantly, it requires a steely resolve to push through the fire burning in one's legs and chest, as well as the doubt welling up in one's mind over the course of 25 laps.
Q: Favorite motivational quote?
A: "When you have worn out your shoes, the strength of the shoe leather has passed into the fiber of your body. He is the richest man who pays the largest debt to his shoemaker." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
