Yale Takes 4th Place at URI Invite

Robert deLaski was the 400-meter dash champion and earned third place in the 200 meter dash as the Bulldogs earned a fourth place finish at the URI Invite. Russ Kempf came in fourth place in the 200, while Jordan Chapman came in third in the high jump and fifth in the pole vault.
With 226, UConn won the meet, while URI came in second and Penn finished third. The Elis posted 57 points for fourth, beating Maine, Central Conn, and Quinnipiac.
deLaski's time of 48.77 was tops in the 400-meter dash, where he beat out UConn's Edwin Campbell, who ran a 49.90. deLaski also posted a 22.53 in the 200-meter event, edging out teammate Russ Kempf, whose time of 22.79 was good for fourth place.
In the field events, Jordan Chapman cleared the 1.91 meter bar in the high jump and was able to get to a height of 4.55m in the pole vault for third and fifth place showings.
