Yale Defeats Harvard, Falls to Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - Yale took second with 36 points in the annual H-Y-P meet versus Princeton and Harvard Saturday afternoon at Jadwin Gym. Princeton came out on top with 119 points, while Harvard finished with 15.
John Langhauser dominated the shot put, winning by almost a meter with a distance of 17.04 meters. Other winners included Dan O'Brien in the 60-meter hurdles (8.33) and Victor Cheng in the 60-meter dash (6.90).
Yale also had a number of other top four placings. Langhauser was third in the weight throw with a toss of 16.29 meters. Samuel Fox was third in the high jump (2.03 meters). In the 60-meter hurdles, Ted Galligan was fourth (8.70).
Brian Gertzen scored in a point in the one mile run, taking fourth with a time of 4:11.62. Remi Ray and David Soiles were second and third in the 500-meter dash with times of 1:04.82 and 1:06.65. Matthew Bordoni was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.86.
Connor Kilpatric qualified for IC4As in the 1,000-meter run, placing fourth with a time of 2:29.89. Joseph Kingsbery was fourth in the 3,000-meter run (8:33.50). The 4x400 and 4x800-meter relays were both second with times of 3:23.98 and 7:46.37.
