NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Elis finished the meet in sixth with 47 points, just one point behind fifth place Brown. Princeton won the meet overall with a total of 154 points, while Cornell was second with 151.

John Langhauser was Yale's top performer for the day, placing second in the shot put with a toss of 17.66 meters. David Howard of Brown won the event in a surprising fashion with a distance of 17.77 meters, which was almost two meters farther than his personal best.

Samuel Fox was fourth in the high jump, finishing at a height of 2.01 meters.

The trio of Brandon Giles, Victor Cheng and Russ Kempf ended up in third, fourth and seventh place with times of 6.91, 6.93 and 7.03. Daniel O'Brien was third in the 60-meter hurdles (8.21).

In the 1,000-meter run, Matthew Shaffer and Connor Kilpatric placed sixth and eighth with times of 2:28.00 and 2:36.58. Brian Gertzen was fifth in the mile run with a time of 4:13.43.

The 4x400-meter relay team was first in their section and placed third overall with a time of 3:19.07. The 4x800-meter relay team was fourth with a time of 7:38.80, while the distance medley relay ended up sixth with a time of 10:14.41.

The Bulldogs will be back in action next weekend at IC4A's.
