Providence, RI - Six Bulldogs qualified for finals at the Heptagonal Championships on Saturday at Brown University, with Russell Kempf qualifying in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes.
Kempf's times of 10.86 in the 100 and 21.81 in the 200 were both good enough to qualify him for the finals on Sunday. Also qualifying were Rob Lobue (800m run, 1:52.30), Josh Yelsey (1500m run, 3:54.07), Michael Brown (400m hurdles, 55.07), and Shomari Taylor (400m hurdles, 54.97).
In finals on Saturday, Matthew Lachman was eighth in the pole vault (4.45/14-07.25), Eoghan O'Dwyer was 11th in the hammer throw (48.22/158-02), David Napper was 13th in the 10k run (31:11.21) and Andrew Johnson was 19th in the 10k run (31:29.27).
The competition concludes on Sunday.
