Meyer Posts Second-Best Steeplechase Time in School History at IC4As

New Haven, CT - Lucas Meyer posted the second-best time in Yale history in the 3000m steeplechase Friday night at the IC4A Championship, finishing in 8:47.59. He came in second behind Boston University's Jochen Dieckfoss (8:42.14). The finish earned Meyer All-East recognition for the third straight year. He will compete again at the NCAA Regionals, Memorial Day weekend in Gainesville, FL.

Meyer was Yale's only competitor in action Friday night, and earned eight points to put Yale in eighth place. The meet continues through Sunday at Yale's track and field complex. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students, children (under 14) and seniors.
