O'Dwyer, Lobue and Yelsey Compete at Regionals

Gainesville, FL - Several Bulldogs were in action Friday at the NCAA East Regional, hosted by the University of Florida at Percy Beard Track in Gainesville. The top five in each event qualify for the NCAA Championship, held in Austin, Tex. June 9-12.

Eoghan O'Dwyer was 17th in the hammer throw (52.77m), which was won by Manhattan's Thomas Freeman (71.12m). Rob Lobue was 23rd in the 800m preliminaries (1:52.32), with only the top nine advancing to Saturday's finals. Josh Yelsey was 27th in the 1500m prelims (4:02.76), with only the top 12 advancing.

The regional concludes on Saturday, with Yale's Lucas Meyer in the steeplechase at 8:30.
