Six Yale Runners Named Second Team All-Ivy

Six members of the men's indoor track team earned second team All-Ivy honors for their performances at the Heptagonal Championships last weekend. Runners Russ Kempf, Lucas Meyer, and a distance relay team comprised of Robert Dwyer, Matt Boshart, Josh Yelsey and Robert Lobue were recognized by the Ivy League.
Kempf, a freshman, placed second at the Heps in the 60-meter dash and set a new school record with a time of 6.98 seconds. Meyer, a junior, came in second in the 5000 meter run with a time of 14:25.74. The relay team of Dwyer, Boshart, Yelsey and Lobue finished the 4x800 meter event behind Princeton, with a team season-best time of 7:41.92.
Fifteen athletes plus three relay teams who met the qualifying standards in 12 different events will represent the Bulldogs this weekend at the IC4A's.
