Bell and Relay Earn Second-Team All-Ivy Honors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Thursday afternoon, the Ivy League released the list of athletes who have received All-Ivy Honors for Indoor Track & Field this year. Athletes were recognized for their top finishes at the 62nd Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Track & Field Championships last weekend, Feb. 28-Mar. 1. Senior Jared Bell earned Second-Team honors for his second-place finish in the mile run. The 4x880 yard relay team also earned Second-Team honors: the team of Junior Chris Labosky, senior Murat Kayali, Senior Jake Gallagher, and Bell finished second in 7:40.69.
Bell ran a tough race, splitting sub-2:00 for his final half mile after the race went out at a slow pace, to finish second in 4:16.12. He also anchored the 4x880 yard relay, which earned the Bulldogs eight points and helped propel them past Brown in the team standings in the final two events of the meet.
