NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Friday and Saturday, the Bulldogs will compete at the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell University, in Lewisburg, Pa. The meet will bring together teams from around the east, including American, Lehigh, Lafayette, Colgate, Duquesne and Ivy rival Cornell. After a weekend where the team split up to compete at two meets, the Bulldogs will rejoin ranks at this meet. The Elis hope to build off last week's strong fourth-place finish at the William & Mary Colonial Relays and strong individual performances at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational.
The Bison Outdoor Classic will feature more than 50 schools competing in Friday night's distance events, making it one of the largest track invites in the country this weekend. The first events of the meet will be the decathlon 100-meter dash and the women's hammer throw, which begin at 3:00 p.m. The track distance events begin at 5:00 p.m. with the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Saturday's events will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the decathlon 110-meter hurdles. Field events will start with the women's shot put at 10:00 a.m. and track events are set to begin at 10:30 a.m. with the women's 10,000-meter run.
A Revised Schedule of Events and Meet Program with accepted entries can be found on www.BucknellBison.com. Results will be posted on the Bucknell Athletics website at the conclusion of each day of the meet.
