DePalo and Lachman to Compete on Wednesday at NCAA Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Starting on Wednesday, hundreds of the best track & field athletes in the nation will descend upon Des Moines, Iowa, to compete at the NCAA National Championships. Two Bulldogs will be among those competing at the meet, hosted by Drake University from June 11-14. Sophomore Eric DePalo and junior Jeffrey Lachman will both compete on Wednesday in the qualifying rounds of the pole vault and the discus throw, respectively.
If DePalo fares well in the first round of the pole vault, held on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m., he will advance to the finals on Friday. Similarly, Lachman has a chance to qualify for Friday's finals in the discus based on his performance in the first round on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. All times are in Central time.
The USTFCCCA DI rankings going into the meet place LSU in the top spot, followed by Texas A&M at No. 2 and Florida State at No. 3.
