Elis Take Second in the Open Race at the 2006 Pre-Nationals

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State hosted the 2006 Pre-National Meet Saturday afternoon, where the course for the NCAA Division I Championships will be on November 20. Yale took second in the open race with 95 points, while Harvard took first with 61. Andrew Pitts was the top runner for the Bulldogs, taking fifth with a time of 25:04.

Brian Gertzen was the next finisher for the Elis, coming in eighth with a time of 25:13. Following closely was Jake Gallagher in 11th with a time of 25:21. David Napper and Murat Kayali finished in 35th and 36th, respectively with times of 25:50 and 25:52.

Yale will be taking a break next weekend and gearing up for the Ivy League Championship on October 27th.
