Bulldogs Finish 17th of 35 teams at NCAA Pre-Nationals

Led by a ninth-place finish by Lucas Meyer, the Elis finished 17th overall as a team at the NCAA Pre-Nationals, hosted by Indiana State University. The men ran on an 8K course in the competition.
Meyer's time of 24:07.9 put him just one tenth of a second behind the eighth place finisher, Notre Dame's Josh Rohatinsky. Following Meyer was captain Casey Moriarty, who finished in 24:38.2, good for 35th place.
Yale's Patrick Danzer came in 91st with a time of 25:14.9, and Nathan Clute ran a time of 25:50.8 to finish in 152nd place overall.
David Napper, Andrew Johnson, and Josh Yelsey rounded out the Eli's lineup, finishing with times of 25:56.6, 26:00.8, and 26:28.7 respectively.
Yale's next meet comes on October 29, when the Bulldogs will travel to New York's Van Cortlandt Park for the Heptagonal Championships.
