Moriarty Places Second at IC4A Championship

New York, N.Y. - Defending champion Casey Moriarty finished second individually to lead the Yale men's cross country team to an eighth-place finish at the IC4A Championship at Van Cortlandt Park.
Moriarty finished in 25:00, five seconds behind Penn State's Chris Foster and one ahead of Michael Hatch of Duke.
Four of Yale's five scoring runners finished in the top half of the 177-athlete field, including two in the top 30. Patrick Dantzer placed 24th in 25:37. He was five places and eight seconds ahead of teammate Josh Yelsey.
La Salle won the team championship with four runners in the top 11 and a score of 56 points.
