Bulldogs Fall In Remenham Cup Final
Yales varsity eight has defeated many of the top collegiate crews in the United States in the last few years. On Sunday, in the final of the Remenham Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta on the Thames River, the Bulldogs got to test themselves against a crew that may someday compete in the Olympics. Leander Club & Wallingford R.C., which is essentially Great Britains national team, edged Yale by three lengths, finishing with a time of 7 minutes, 37 seconds.

Bulldogs Roll Into Final At Henley Royal Regatta
Yales varsity eight cruised to an easy victory over the Thames Rowing Club in the semifinals of the Remenham Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta. The Bulldogs finished in 7 minutes, 50 seconds, five lengths ahead of Thames.

Bulldogs Cruise To Win In First Race At Henley
Yales varsity eight began its quest for the Remenham Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta in impressive fashion. The Bulldogs cruised to a 2.5-length victory over Clyde A.R.C. & Edinburgh Univ on the Thames River. Yale finished the 1,500-meter course in 7 minutes, 24 seconds, the fastest of any of the boats in the quarterfinals.

Yale's Elite Eight And Senior Eight Victorious At Henley Women's Regatta
Yale's elite eight and senior eight both won titles on the final day of the Henley Women's Regatta on the Thames River. The elite eight captured the Sports Council Cup by defeating the Leander Club, Britain's under-23 national team, by three-quarters of a length. The Bulldogs' time of 4 minutes, 40 seconds on the 1,500-meter course was a new Henley record. The senior eight cruised to a two-and-three-quarters length victory over Agecroft to win the GP Jefferies Cup. The Bulldogs finished in 4:57.

Bulldogs Head Across The Pond To Race At Henley
Members of the Yale women's crew will spend the next three weeks competing on one of the most famous courses in the world - the Thames River in Henley-on-Thames, England. Four Yale boats are entered in the Henley Women's Regatta which begins this weekend. The varsity eight will remain to participate in the Henley Royal Regatta from July 1-5.

Gerrand, Ritzel, Person Earn All-America Recognition
Three Yale rowers - juniors Tess Gerrand and Taylor Ritzel and senior Christina Person - have earned 2009 Pocock All-America recognition from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association. Gerrand and Ritzel were named to the first team, while Person was a second team selection.

Ten Bulldogs Earn Spring Academic All-Ivy Distinctions
Ten Yale student-athletes were honored today, as the Ivy League released its list of those selected for Academic All-Ivy recognition in spring sports. Eligible student-athletes include all starters or key reserves on officially recognized varsity teams that have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
