NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale women's crew team will finish up its fall season this Sunday, Oct. 25, with the Princeton Three-Mile Chase regatta. The Princeton Three-Mile Chase is an invitational head-race for men and women’s collegiate crews, and it will take place on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, NJ.
Last weekend, at the Head of the Charles regatta, the Bulldogs finished first among all collegiate crews in the Women's Championship Eights, bested only by the World Champion USA eight and ASR Nereus--a composite crew of the top four pair rowers from the world championships. Their third place overall finish was good for a time of 16:43.750, while ASR Nereus won the gold with a time of 16:08.165. The Elis also finished second in the Club Eights and sixth in the Championship Fours during a tough, snowy day on the Charles.
On Sunday, the Bulldogs will have three boats racing in the Women's Varsity Eights and one crew competing in the Women's Novice Eights.
