Jamie Redman ’08 To Represent U.S. At 2010 World Rowing Championships

Will Sit In Women's Eight; Competition Set For Oct. 31-Nov. 7 In New Zealand

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Jamie Redman '08, who helped Yale's varsity eight to a pair of NCAA Championships, will represent the United States at the 2010 World Rowing Championships scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 7 in Lake Karapiro, New Zealand. Redman will compete with the women's eight.

Redman has considerable experience with U.S. Rowing. She won a gold medal in 2008 with the women's eight at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships. At the 2009 World Championships, she won a silver medal with the women's four without coxswain.

At Yale, Redman was a 2007 CRCA All-America selection and twice earned All-New England honors. She helped the Bulldogs varsity eight to an undefeated season, including the NCAA title, in 2007 and then another national championship as a senior.

Redman will be one of two former Yale rowers competing at the World Championships. Ashley Brzozowicz '04 was recently named to the Canadian women's eight.
