Championship Eight Takes Fourth
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Two boats from the Yale women's crew team glided through the water in Cambridge, Mass., to garner top-ten finishes Sunday at the 47th Head of the Charles regatta.
While the championship eight boat produced a powerful fourth-place finish, the championship four boat closed its race in sixth, adding to a successful second-place finish Saturday by the club eight boat.
Those results build on the Bulldogs' performance at the regatta last year, when the championship eight finished fourth and the championship fourth claimed tenth.
Yale's championship eight boat slaked across the three-mile course in a time of 16:24.04, finishing behind crews from the University of Virginia, Radcliffe and the University of Michigan. Meanwhile, the championship four boat clocked in at 18:51.45.
