Two Eights And One Four Competing

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's crew continues its fall season on Sunday at the Head of the Charles in Boston. The Bulldogs will race two crews in the championship eight and one in the championship four.

"The Head of the Charles is always a great fall rowing event," said Yale head coach Will Porter. "It is a celebration of rowing. The race is important to us and we love having a chance to go at it."

Since its origin in 1965, the Head of the Charles has welcomed the world's best crews to the banks of the Charles River for the ultimate two-day rowing competition. The event attracts more than 11,000 athletes and hundreds of thousands of spectators.

The championship four event begins at 1:51 p.m. on Sunday, while the championship eight goes off at 2:18 p.m.

The Bulldogs are coming off a strong showing at the Head of the Housatonic last weekend. The varsity eight and varsity four both placed second.
